Last night I got a hint of what parenthood is like. While Eli is away, I've been taking care of Miss Cleopatra Jones. Babysitting Cleo has literally been baby-sitting. Since she misses her mamma so much, she has been asking for double the attention. Cleo has been following me around the house like a shadow and is in constant need of body contact. At night, the baby wants to cuddle and if, God forbid, I move, she gets rowdy until she falls asleep again. Today, I feel like I haven't slept in ages. This is probably a hint of what parenthood is like. I love Cleopatra unconditionally but I also love sleep, this is why I will probably hold off on having any children as long as possible.
