Only 34 percent of U.S. adults say they're very happy according to recent study conducted by the Pew Research Center.
More Stuff = More Happiness
It just isn't so.
CEOs were not as happy as the people who worked for them. As I have found in my coaching practice, income and status were not important indicators of happiness.

What is even more frightening is that the key elements to happiness are disappearing. Friendship is a key component to happiness. Due to longer work hours and less social interaction, Americans have 30% fewer close friends than just 20 years ago.
This is particularly hard on women. We gals use our friendships as a way to de-stress.
