Stress Managment Tips. Are You Burning Out?

As a motivational speaker I was honored to be the keynote speaker at a recent conference in the insurance industry.

Shock ran through the room.

One of the board members was taken to the Emergency Room right before my talk.

It looked like she was close to having a stroke. Her doctor ordered her to have 3 months bed rest. Did she do it? Nope. She got on a plane for her next event. Does that behavior describe you or someone you know?

A new study finds that women experience more physical and physiological stress than men. Why? Women have more roles to juggle. More roles = more stress. In my book, Funky to Fabulous I did research that added more to this theory. Women have 1/7 the testosterone of men. So we are handling more stressors with fewer resources.

Fabulous Tips:
Fill Up First: Make time to practice meditation, yoga, tai chi, and prayer...anything that quiets your mind and connects you with your soul. Quiet Time is fuel for your busy life.

Keep your perspective. How? Spend time with people over the age of 70 and under the age of 6.

Green is good. Eat more foods that grow as plants. Eat less food that is made in plants.

Smile Power. Make at least three people smile each day. Don't forget yourself!
